US Department of Agriculture promotes idea of working trees

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced that it will be promoting the use of trees on farms and in agriculture over the next few years. It’s one more example of how the benefits of agroforestry as a way of combating poverty, climate change and forest loss are being recognised around the world.
